Envisioning the wind in my hair...

Sitting as close to my Love as possible and is acceptable in public, my senses are acutely aware of this moment...my heart aflame with love for this man, the man of my dreams...is it possible to passionately hunger for him the way I did almost twenty-nine years ago? Can it be that I am falling in love again with this man that vowed to love, protect and cherish me as long as our lungs fill with oxygen...how can this be?  I know I love him, but what happened to passion?

It's like I've been sitting on some train, unaware of the beauty just outside my window because I've been preoccupied, distracted, busily writing a story or so I thought that's what I was doing.  The locomotive is loud, the speed uncontrollable and I am comfortable in this seat...

...but today all that changed*...

I envision myself getting up, clutching on to every seat as I make my way to the back of the car, forcing open the metal door that's keeping me in...then, in an instant, I'm leaning over the edge, the wind pushing against my face, my dress blowing frivolously free. As my left hand holds on for dear life, my right arm, in abandoned freedom, extends towards the trees whizzing by in a fury...and as I open my eyes to this beautiful moment, I am undone...I am never going to be the same again.

...this is what marriage is all about...

...a Divine love affair with the Author of the Universe writing our story with His pen, asking us to jump out of our seat and grab hold of His hand while He ignites passion and inks eternity on our hearts for each other and Him...all the while reminding us that we cannot do this on our own...this ride is too dangerous!

Passion Himself has pursued me, pulled me from my comfort, invited me to join His adventure and lavished on me the love from one man, as flawed as I am, yet one who loves me from his heart...a heart that will never let me go.

Because I am undone, I must hang on.
I can do nothing else.

Let the flames of passion for my lover burn away all selfishness and mold us into His image together.

*we attended the Love and Respect conference and I am forever grateful for our pastor, Mike Sharrow, for his passion for His savior, Jesus, and his love for His Church.

...and the rain fell...

...and the rain falls-

saturating,

quenching,

nourishing,

satisfying the need

for

Life.

...and the rain falls-

drenching my heart,

filling me with

anointing-

power to be

His witness,

satifying the need

 for

Fulfillment.

Each one has been given gifts.  I have been given a gift to act.  It's not something I would have chosen for myself.  Personally, it would suit me just fine to sit at the sewing machine and make costumes behind the scenes or do makeup for a character other than myself!  But lately, I've been called on to turn my gift and give my best to Him.
Tonight I had the privilege of standing before a classroom of people at church and recite Ephesians 2:1-10.  I've done this several times now and each time I experience a 'drawing' out from me to those I stand before.  I become His conduit and I know it's Him, not me.  That part is exhilerating!
Here is the link to the skit my Love and I did on Sunday before the message...if you'd like to laugh (and the message is great, too!).

Each one of us is His masterpiece, as individual as these handprints of our granddaughters.

He has been preparing good works for us to do.

What are the good works He is orchestrating through you to show how amazing He is?

~You are my Drink~

These days, the sun radiates such fierce heat that turning on the hose will scald one's skin and the water from the 'cold' tap is as warm as the water heater...

...and I thirst.

Yet, it's a deeper thirst...

...and every morning,
as I wake,
without fail,
the sun bursts in,
a steadfast warmth reminding me that You wait,
calling me to sit up in Your lap.

How can I resist You?

You are more than a drink!

You intoxicate me with Your wine~

Your Spirit.
I fluff the pillows and drink deeply!
Your voice is so clear.

'I am in you, the hope of glory';

'In Me, you live and move and have your being.'

'I am for you, who can be against you?';

'You are My workmanship-My masterpiece,
created for good works that I've ordained you to walk in'.

...And so, You fill me, wash me, dress me for this day in Your robes of righteousness,
not the sweaty rags that I've become accustomed to-
-those thoughts that have clogged the conduits of Your power;
fellowshipping with my soul,
rather than wearing the garments You bequeathed to me at salvation.

I am saturated in Your grace.

It's one thing to drop clothes in a machine and let the aggitation, spinning, rinsing and more spinning remove the grime and sweat, but to allow the spirit of the Living God to cleanse one's conscience from dead works, wrong thinking and bring a paradigm shift to reflect more of Him,

I wonder-
is it similar to that metal box on my back porch or is it as easy and hopping up in Daddy's lap and drinking of His Spirit?

I prefer the latter to the former!
He says:
Hebrews 10:22 (NLT) 'let us go right into the
presence of God, with true hearts fully trusting him. For our evil consciences
have been sprinkled with Christ's blood to make us clean, and our bodies have
been washed with pure water. '

Summertime heat will soon subside~
and give way to cooler breezes and colder water,
yet my thirst for Your Spirit will go on forever.

You promised to give me Rivers of Living water...

Fill me, my empty bucket, Daddy, so I might offer other's Your living water.
