Multitude Monday

Something is happening inside me and it's making its way to the outside...getting up early, seizing the day and diving into mommyhood, learning at home and enjoying this season of my life...so, today, a Monday, I decided to take the boys to the zoo.  We got season passes last month and so off we went, just the three of us.

On this day of reflection, I am reminded of today and its gifts to me.

#172:  my lion cubs

#173:  eager learners

#174: a walk through the park after the zoo:
only the Father knows how deeply these two love each other, but it's evidenced at times by an arm around each other's shoulder.

#175:  boy comment about how 'we made memories today that will last a lifetime':

#176:  jubilant boys at home in the creek...

#177:  creation:

 178: cuddling

179:  goulash

180:  a nap

181:  completing a blog post!

182:  a growing garden and harvesting radishes (I'll try to post the latest pix soon...)

183:  a overcast day turning into a beautiful 73 degree day!

184:  being loved unconditionally

What a day to be grateful for.  Thank you, Jesus, for giving me children-my children- and family.

To tickle your funny bone~

Ok, so this morning, I think to myself that if I make the pizza dough early enough, I can have dinner ready and then cook the pizza before the house cooks up like the outdoors.

So, I toss the flour, sugar, and salt in a large bowl and set aside. Then, to another bowl, I added warm water, olive oil and mixed in the last of the yeast; and I set aside the cool yeast jar for buttons! (So green minded!)
Then I proceeded to add the liquid to the dry and mix...when it came time to make the ball of dough, I felt lumps...why are there yellow lumps, dear Jesus?...oh, my Word! Please God, I don't want to know what this is...if I just keep kneading, maybe they'll go away...nope...more...what are they????
My first thought, when I actually decided to think about what on earth this could be, was that the experimenters in our home had made silly putty a few weeks ago...NOOOOOO.....I have no more yeast...I am going to pick out these lumps...we are eating this dough!
When the experimenters woke up, one at a time, I asked each...one said he had no idea...the other said, "oh, yeah...I think it's play dough! I told him to taste it!
So he tasted the dough and said, "Yup, it's playdoh...non toxic, mom, but very salty!"
We are eating pizza with residual play doh lumps tonite for dinner...I'll see if my husband notices...
I am sure we won't die, but if you don't hear from me tomorrow, you'll know I spent the day in bed recovering...
(There weren't that many lumps, or I would have chucked the whole thing...but when I told my sister that's moving here next month, she told me not to tell her these kinds of things and that she'd be bringing dinner over when they came! I told her I believe it's time to separate the cooking flour from the experiments! Probably should have already thought of that one long ago...!)

Enjoy your laugh...and if that's not funny enough for you, check out this cool video...

~Boys~

You just never know what you might find around here when you open a door, or the freezer.
Yesterday, I opened the freezer to get an ice cube and discovered a tin we use to store pencils in...hmmm...
Since there was no one to ask what happened, (Love had taken the boys out to help their older brothers move band equipment), I proceeded to see what could possibly be inside...lo and behold,

BOY PLAY... "What's this?"
18-20th 053

"Mam, could you please help me...your boys are at it again!"
Nope, sorry, sir, you're on your own... (little did I know that before this guy froze too much last nite, they thawed him out and switched guys!)
18-20th 048
"Help, I can't breathe...!" Just hang in there...it won't be long...
18-20th 064
"This is soooo uncomfortable!"
18-20th 065
"Doesn't anyone care?" Yes, and help is on the way...
18-20th 068
"I can't feel my legs..."
18-20th 072
"Ahhhh...freedom." "Thanks, guys!!!" You're welcome, sir.
18-20th 073
Sir, would you like a strawberry? "No, mam, but thanks anyways! I've got to get back to work...boy play is a tough job, ya know!"
18-20th 075
Mmm, mmm, good ice! Well worth the experiment in cryogenics...
18-20th 076
My life as a 'homes cool' mom!
Have a great week...and remember, Friday is a national holiday due to my 47th birthday! Enjoy yourself...on me!~
