So I began stepping up the sewing when I could and last week I devoted HOURS and HOURS to finishing up projects, making fancy tags, and making Barbie aprons and one for Ken, too!
The show went well for a first. You can see my booth here. I made a little money, but the experience of a show was good because it wasn't a long one, the weather was mostly agreeable, and I was with my sister/hubby and a new friend. I had just enough 'stuff' to sell and got invited to another show there in August...two weeks or so to make some more fun stuff! The crayon aprons seem to be a hit and maybe some more fancy garden aprons.
Then yesterday, I did three haircuts, shopped and we had a friend for dinner...remember 'Tuesdays with Ashley'? Our sweet friend is leaving for grad school in Washington State and we had a sweet, although short visit. Then we headed to the store to buy our boys some clothes...they literally wear their shorts and shirts out! I love the thrift store because we can usually get some nice things, sometimes new even, and then they can wear them out for a little money, not a lot of money! For both boys, five pair of shorts, about ten t-shirts and two pair of matching swim trunks, we spent $43~AMAZING!
Then today~we went to church early because this was the annual church picnic at Paradise Canyon.
Little did I know that two years ago when we went to this glorious place for the first time, nestled in the hill country, that I would witness my father being baptized in this river today! This was greater than any dream I could have ever had; actually, it was a dream come true~!

There are no words to describe the power of God on a man's heart...
Let His name be praised; Great things He has done!
