Slept late today. Haiti's visual devastation so profoundly displayed on CNN brought nightmares to my mind and prayers from my heart. I am overwhlemed by their sorrow. Seeing a small child laying dead on a street only partly covered by a sheet was more than I wanted to take in.

Nations and kingdoms will proclaim war against each other, and there will be earthquakes in many parts of the world, and famines. But all this will be only the beginning of the horrors to come.
Yet will I praise Him. Despite the sorrow, there is hope. He sends help, encouragement and aid. He hears our prayers and responds even beforehand.
I have hope.
His name is Jesus.
