-~Living Water, Light Burden~

"Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke fits perfectly, and the burden I give you is light."
"If you believe in me, come and drink! For the Scriptures declare that rivers of living water will flow out from within."
~Jesus Christ

Thoughts of Monday morning after the holiday vacation began to weigh heavy on me last nite as I realized that we'd done very little 'seat work' for too long. I could sense the dread descending on me that "you haven't 'done enough' all vacation"; "get ready to listen to the complaining, grief, whining, etc..." (have I, once again, compartmentalized our life or were we learning in other ways all along?)
(Yet again, He is transforming my thinking; it ALL come under one banner--His love. Isn't education fitting them for their future station and doesn't preparing for the birth of Jesus in their own heart constitute education?)
Then the revelation that Jesus is in me...; He reminded me-
"For we are his workmanship, created (formed originally) in Christ Jesus unto good works (ergo- (to work); toil (as an effort or occupation); by implication an act :- deed, doing, labour, work.), which God hath before ordained (to fit up in advance) that we should walk-neat meaning here- (to tread all around, i.e. walk at large (especially as proof of ability); figurative to live, deport oneself, follow (as a companion or votary) :- go, be occupied with, walk (about) in them. " Ephesians 2:10
He fit me for this position as mom. He has it all under His control and as Imyself am learning to be His student in the school of humility and gentleness, then His yoke fits better everyday.
I wore it today. I felt it as I spoke gently, taught about 'inflection' in English, listened to their frustration about getting their hair cut and why they need 'long hair' so they can be a rock singer! They did agree that despite my long hair, I am NOT a rock star!
...Giggling at Daizee over her silly playfulness and how she uses whatever is at hand to get our attention...underwear, the walkie talkie, "Robinson Crusoe" and then the day ended here in peace and love.
Jesus, I want every day to be easy, light and filled with Your Living Water to quench my thirsty soul.

I love that picture. What is it?

It's my birdbath without the proper fountain part...it wore out and so I use a hose attachment. That seems to work fine and the birds, particularly the grackles, don't care either way!

Yes, we would do coffee- you never know one day we might! Your sons sound like one of mine who won't get his hair cut either. He is now using hair straighteners to perfect the rock star look- I'm just waiting for his teacher to say something and then he will have to have a trim. My husband thought it funny yesterday morning as one son was using a hairdryer and the other hair straighteners!
